According to Missouri State Law students attending public schools are required to receive immunizations. Prior to enrollment, students must have completed their childhood immunization series including Dtap (Diptheria, Tetanus, Acellular Pertusis), Polio, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella (Chicken Pox). Evidence of immunizations must be submitted to the School Health Office.
New for the 2016-17 school year, is a requirement of all incoming 8th Grade students to receive the Menigitis Vaccine. This is in addition to the already required Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Acellular Pertussis) vaccine. Please immunize your child prior to the start of the school year.
Incoming Seniors are also required for the 2016-17 School Year to receive the Meningitis vaccine. Please immunize your child prior to the start of the school year.
Immunizations are available at your local physicians office or the Howard County Public Health Department (248-3100). Call prior for an appointment.
