    Any high school boys wanting to play basketball needs to see Coach Bishop ASAP. You need to complete your MSHSAA Forms and Eligibility on FinalForms before Practice 10/31.

     

    MU Healthcare will be offering an immunization (Flu and Covid Booster) this Thursday from 4:30-6:30pm. You do NOT have to be a patient there but will need to bring a copy of

     your insurance card for billing purposes.

     

    The health department will be coming to do a flu shot clinic for students soon. Please let Nurse Kelly or Mrs. Collins know if you are interested.

     

    LYBL Home Care is in need of a worker for one of their clients in Glasgow during the week from 4-7. Pay is $15 an hour and the worker must be 18 years old. Inquiries can call Felicia Hayes at 660-530-7081 or email info@lyblhome.com.

     

    FHS students planning on participating in basketball or basketball cheer, please make sure you have a current physical and complete the MSHSAA forms on the FinalForms website https://www.finalforms.com

      

    If you didn’t order a FHS 21-22 yearbook from the last school year, we have extras for $40. They may be purchased at the library on a first come basis and will be sold until they are gone 

     

    Please check your lunch balances periodically. Lunch payments can be made at the office in the mornings.

    Picture Retakes and Senior Tux/Drapes is on Oct. 27th. For the drape pictures, you will need to wear a tank top or spaghetti strap top. 

     

    Auditions for the comedy musical "Murder at Crimson House" will be 

    Thursday, 10/20 3:30-5:00 

    in the DC Music Room

     

     

    Expectations: 

    • 2-5 minute long monologue

    •  1 memorized song

     

    Contact Mrs. Miner (vminer@fayetteschool.org) to make an audition appointment. Alternate times available.

     

    Students who have loaner Chromebooks from the Library need to return these asap. We will not be able to checkout loaners if they are not returned at the end of the hour/day of which you are using the computer.

     

    THERE SHOULD BE NO LIVESTREAMING DURING SCHOOL. Cell phones are only to be used by teacher permission.

     

    Seniors: Please do not park in the four parking places nearest the building next to the football field or the parking place adjacent to the disabled spaces. These are reserved for the Parents as Teachers play center. Thank you.

     

    The October ACT test will be given at FHS on Oct. 22nd. Please see Mrs. Shepard if you have any questions.

    Mrs. Shepard has ACT study guides and flashcards that can be checked out. An email was sent out to juniors and seniors yesterday with a study guide pdf.

     

    Juniors and Seniors that are interested in learning more about Southeast Missouri State University, they will be having visit days on October 21 and December 9. Please check your emails for more information.

     

    Here is a scholarship opportunity for you all...

    The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide four-year need-based merit scholarship providing each recipient with the opportunity to graduate college debt-free, providing up to $6,000 each semester. After graduation from college Hagan Scholars can apply for a two-year extension of their scholarship to attend graduate school or a professional school, receiving $6,000 each semester.

     

    Free workshops, Free Schwab Brokerage Accounts, and Free Study Abroad provide recipients with a practical understanding of important life skills not typically covered in the school curriculum.

    • Hagan Scholarships awarded to date: 2,933

    • Colleges and Universities attend by Hagan Scholars: 429

    • Hagan Scholars currently enrolled in college: 1,122

    Basic Eligibility Requirements:

    1. Must attend an eligible public high school

    2. Must have achieved a 3.5 GPA

    3. Must enroll in an eligible college or university

    4. Must maintain a 4 year or less graduation schedule

    5. Applicant’s Adjusted Household Income reported for Federal Income Tax Purposes must not Exceed $85,000.

    State Technical College of Missouri will be having a Career Exploration day on Thursday, November 3rd for careers in the areas of Construction, Health Sciences, and 

    Electronics/Computers. Please let Mrs. Shepard if you are interested in going.
