    Homecoming Dress Up Days (October 3rd-6th):

    Friday - Jungle Book’s Tribal Colors (Black & Gold Day)

    *Don’t forget dress-up days are a part of class competitions, so please show your school spirit. The class with the most points at the end of Homecoming Spirit Week will win an ice cream sundae party. 

     

    The Homecoming Dance will be immediately after the game on Friday, October 6th in the high school commons. The price is $4.00 per person. You must accompany your non-Fayette student and have a pre-approved outside date form provided by the school on file before entering the dance. You are responsible for your guests. No one will be allowed back into the dance once you leave. A $50.00 gift card will be given away during the dance. You must be present to win.  

     

    NHS: If you haven’t paid your NHS dues, please see Ms. Swanson.  

     

    We do have some contested races for Class Officer. You should have been notified via email if you need to present a speech. Speeches must be approved by Ms. Williams, in person, by Friday morning at 8:00 am. If your speech is not approved by the deadline in person, your name will appear on the ballot. However, you will not be able to present your speech.

     

    Musical Auditions for students grades 6-12 are Tuesday, October 17, 3:45-5:00; Wednesday, October 18, 3:45-6:00; Thursday, October 19 3:45-6:00. Auditions will be held in the DC Music Room. Sign up for a time with Mrs. Miner. If you have a conflict, contact Mrs. Miner to make arrangements for a different audition time. 

     

    Dress Code: Many students are not abiding by the school dress code. Make sure that you have extra clothing available to change or we can provide something for you. Continuous dress code violations or defiance when asked to change will result in being sent to Mr. Dobson with a discipline referral. Mr. Dobson shared the dress code policy on the 1st day of school, so all students were informed.

     

    Jostens Graduation Order Day will be in the library on Thursday, Oct. 12th at 10:30am. Please make sure you have your order forms. Extra packets are located at the office.

     

    Student’s interested in purchasing an FHS letterman jacket, forms are located at the office and in the library.

     

    Seniors: Please do not park in the four parking places nearest the building next to the football field or the parking place adjacent to the disabled spaces. These are reserved for the Parents as Teachers Play Center.

     

    Students who have loaner Chromebooks from the Library need to return them ASAP. We will not be able to checkout loaners if they are not returned at the end of the hour/day of which you are using the computer. If you have already received your one-to-one personal Chromebook, make sure you bring those to school every day. The loaners are needed for students that have yet to receive their personal Chromebook.  

     

    THERE SHOULD BE NO LIVESTREAMING DURING SCHOOL. Cell phones are only to be used by teacher's permission. Violations of this rule will result in a discipline referral.

    There weren’t  a lot of students that signed up for clubs. Club Dues will be open again  from Tuesday, October 10th - Friday, October 13th. 

     

    Juniors & Seniors that have already signed up with Mrs. Shepard: Mrs. Shepard is taking students to a college fair at Columbia, MO on Thursday, October 11th. The bus will leave campus around 8:30 am and arrive back around 11:00 - 11:30 am. Your parents must fill out and sign a permission slip in order for you to go. She has permission slips in her office or you can pick one up at the library. Those are due back to Mrs. Shepard by Tuesday, October 10th at 3 pm.

    Central Methodist University will be hosting an Experience Central Day on Saturday, October 14th. During the event you will connect with current students, meet faculty, and learn more about resources to help you succeed in college. Students going to the event are invited to the tailgate and football game against Benedictine College. Mrs. Shepard has cards in my office and there are some located on the counter in the library for those who are interested in attending this event. Please come grab one.

    State Fair Community College will be hosting a Preview Day on Saturday, October 27th from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.
