Mrs. Angela Howard

Angela Howard has been involved in theatre as a professional actress, singer, and dancer, makeup artist, and teacher for over 35 years in Denver, Colorado and San Diego, CA.  In 1992 she moved to Columbia, MO where she volunteered for Columbia Entertainment Company as a performer, costume designer, makeup artist, and board member. She has  performed at CEC, The Maplewood Barn Theatre, Summer Repertory at the University of Missouri, and Independent Actors Studio, and Theater NXS, as well as doing numerous video commercials and radio voiceovers.  She began teaching theatre classes in CEC theatre school, and was asked to direct the theatre school productions in 1998. Angela continued teaching through her own studio, and directed for numerous theatre groups, schools, churches, as well as volunteering as a stage manager, costumer, set designer, and sound designer. In 2003 she became Co-Artistic Director for PACE. She currentlyfunctions as a director, directing 2 to 3 productions every year, the Theatre School Director, and originated the award winning Arts in Health program.  Angela has directed over fifty productions with several favorites such as West Side Story, Peter Pan, Sound of Music and Fiddler on the Roof, The Miracle Worker, and To Kill a Mockingbird. She was awarded the Columbia Tribune Hero Award for her work on the original script, Windows Pain, a play about autism.
