My hometown is Dryden, Michigan. I joined the Navy soon after my high school graduation and spent 10 years active duty. I really enjoyed my time in service and still miss it to this day. I used my GI Bill when I left the service and completed my Bachelor of Arts Degree with an emphasis in Elementary Education. 

I have been teaching for a total of ten years, with seven of those years right here in Fayette. I am currently teaching 5th grade, and although it can be challenging, it is a lot of fun!  I am married with one daughter, Bailey. She is a senior in high school, and I am so proud she was chosen for Girls State last year. We are very active in the Howard County Fair and FFA. We also help out with the band and music boosters fundraisers. Lastly, we have a farm where we raise pigs, cows and chickens. We are a very busy family! My husband, Ted, is also a FHS graduate ('89). We are proud to be members of this community!
